About Me

Hi, my name is Alicia Falzon and I am an experienced Counsellor, Family therapist, Supervisor and Group facilitator who enjoys helping people and families to gain a better understanding of themselves, their problems and anxieties associated with their everyday life.

One of my passions is family. I believe in working with individual members, the whole family as well as varying parts of the family. For example, sometimes the work needs to be with the husband and wife, mother and daughter, father and son or the individual person.  As well as my skills as a relationship and remarriage counsellor I am knowledgeable in the related issues of mental health.

I have clinical experience and comprehensive training in these areas.

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Master of Counselling, a Master of Mental Health with Family Therapy, an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Bowen Family Systems Theory and Practice and advanced training in Supervision theory and practice.

I am a clinical member of Psychotherapy & Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), a  Clinical  member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT) and a registered clinical supervisor with PACFA.

Hi, I am a clinical family therapist and counsellor and am passionate about helping families and individuals understand themselves in their relationships as they travel through life. My aim is to help you explore your individual experience, through your important relationships, to gain a bigger picture of the disruptions in your life that create tension and are painful. This is a holistic approach that may involve looking at your family life, work life and friendships. If there is an imbalance in this network of relationships your health may also be affected. Everybody at some stage in their life needs a coach to help them navigate their way through some stressful lifecycles, gain or retrain in skills for better wellbeing and healthier relationships.

As well as working with families, I work with individuals and couples in all relationships and consider what’s important to each individual. Because families can be a source of tension it is helpful to learn how to navigate life with them with less reactivity. In working towards calmer relationships sometimes the work needs to be with the husband and wife, mother and daughter or father and son. As well as my skills as a marriage counsellor I am knowledgeable in the related issues of mental health.

I am a clinical member of PACFA Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia, a Clinical member of the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT) and a registered clinical supervisor with PACFA.

The life of a tree is intricately connected to the lives of other trees in ways most people are unaware. The successful adaptation of a tree to life’s challenges cannot be adequately understood without examining its links to its social network, and the same holds for members of human families.
